I covered Hurricane Idalia for WUFT News and FOX Weather. As a Florida native, hurricanes are no stranger to me. Before the storm, I noticed a tropical depression in the making days before major news outlets caught wind and took to social media to analyze, raking in around 25,000 views on TikTok. I spent around 30 hours during the storm producing content to inform UF students on both TV and social media.

Over summer 2023, I made a website for UF students on hurricane safety, which was engaged over 3,000 times during Idalia. After the storm, NWS members shared high praise for the resource. Praying for all who were impacted by the storm.
