Julia Haley is an award-winning meteorologist and weather anchor deeply committed to serving and informing her community. She is a weather anchor for the #1 TV Station in Gainesville, WCJB TV20 News. During her time at the University of Florida, she interned with FOX Weather in New York City and worked as a weather anchor for WUFT News, WRUF-6, and GHQ. She has reported on several hurricanes and large events in the area including Hurricanes Ian and Idalia, along with reporting for the 99th Annual UF Homecoming Parade. Recently, Julia was recognized in the University of Florida’s Hall of Fame for her work in meteorology both out in the field and as President of the Gator Chapter of the American Meteorological Society, where she created student support for the meteorology program at UF. She looks forward to fostering a sense of safety and community wherever she goes.
