Excited and grateful to be a 2023 Aspen Climate Future Leader!

In March, I represented University of Florida in Miami Beach as one of 255 Aspen Climate Future Leaders from around the world. Our goal is to lead climate action together.

Miami Beach is known as “ground zero” for climate change, meaning the area is one of the first to feel the long-term effects and changes in the United States. It was great to learn more about the area and just how much the changing climate impacts Florida.

The week was filled with discussions from activists and speakers. Future Leaders Climate Initiative at The Aspen Institute was even recognized by Vice President Kamala Harris!

Thank you to the Aspen Institute and specifically Nikki De Vignes, Jade Rouse, Amy Glassman, and Greg Gershuny for making it possible for young climate leaders to connect and collaborate!

Loved meeting the next generation of young leaders and learning more about what we have done, are currently doing, and can do in the future to mitigate climate change!
